Enjoy Vs like - menaing
Main Post: Enjoy Vs like - menaing
Top Comment: There are cases where they're not equivalent: I'm enjoying this! I'm liking this! [wrong] I like my mother. I enjoy my mother [hopefully wrong] Basically: to enjoy means to take pleasure in doing something to like is a "state verb" or "non-continuous verb", and is more general. When you can use both, they're more or less equivalent.

Constantly plan for events or occurrences that are outside of your day to day. It can be big like travelling to another country or as small as picking up a new video game. I find the constant anticipation to eventually meeting your goal is what gives me that high of enjoying life.
People of Reddit who wake up every day and enjoy life, what's that like?

Top Comment: Feels great. In July 2016 I was diagnosed with stage IV colorectal cancer. My oncologist gave me two or three years to live. Having an expiration date makes you appreciate every single day.

Reddit: Did you enjoy your high school experience? Why or why not?

Top Comment: Worst time of my life. Ironically all the teachers kept insisting high school would be the best years of our life and we’d realize it once we were out in the real world. Turns out that between the two the real world is the less shitty.

Cliffjumping. Bit part of my tounge off because I accidentally had my mouth open after realizing I was making a b-line towards a large rock. Thankfully I missed it by about 2 to 3 feet, but that nub of my tounge did not survive. Luckily it grew back because the chip was barely small enough to where it could heal. Extremely lucky things didn't end up worse for me that day, but you can rest assured I'm never doing that again.
LPT: Learn to do -- and enjoy -- things by yourself. You're going to miss out on a lot of fun if you keep waiting for someone else to accompany you.

Request: Anyone know a subreddit for people who ENJOY Cyberpunk 2077?
Main Post:
Looking at the Hot posts on this subreddit could have fooled me into thinking I was on the Fallout 76 subreddit! I see a lot of negativity that I just can’t relate to.
The game is rough for sure, but the posts I have seen would lead you to believe that the game isn’t even playable. I see a lot of the bugs but am still absolutely enthralled in this world and this game. Am I the only one?
The other criticisms are from comparison with GTAV. I don’t care at all about how much better GTAV is as creating an open world. I’m a BioWare bro looking for role playing and not all the open world frills of a Rockstar game.
This is my favorite RPG within the last 5 years. RPG releases are far and few between. I feel lucky just to have one. I get how negativity on the internet rapidly grows, but I yearn for those who are as positive as I am. So. Where can I talk to others that are enjoying Cyberpunk 2077?

IWTL How to enjoy reading again
Main Post:
I used to love reading when I was younger but I've become so accustomed to watching crap on my laptop that even when I enjoy a book I'll still pick watching garbage on netflix over the book that I love. Don't know if this is something I can really learn to love again or if I'm just being lazy but yeah thanks

I was in the same boat and two things helped me.
- Get either a hard copy of a book or invest in something like a Kindle Paperwhite. It's an ereader without apps or anything so you aren't tempted to go play games or get on social media.
- Start with an easy read - something that is a page turner. It's easier to delve into those and then you can move on to other stuff once you're in the reading habit.
Does anyone here really love studying?
Main Post:
If so, how come? Is it the subject for you? Is it something about your methods? I feel like it's a really powerful thing to derive a great deal of pleasure from studying – no matter the subject and I'm looking to learn how to enjoy it and had to show others to do the same.
Thanks!
